About Me

My photo
Ariel McNett
Topsham, ME, United States
My love for drawing began when I could pick up a crayon. I used to insist on family members drawing me pictures and I would try to replicate them. Since those early years I moved to Maine and have lived in Topsham with my family for what is now going on fourteen years. I love everything about where I live, and I try to express that in my paintings. I have been told I have a West Coast style as far as color goes, but my subject matter is very East Coast. Either way I'm happy with that, seeing as I have always been a water lover. My most fond memories from my upbringing have been times on my family's boats in the ocean, exploring islands, and even racing various kinds kayaks and canoes around the country. I owe my parents for helping me to experience Maine's in the adventurous ways that I have. My experiences are reflected in my work, that I hope will reach people from all ages. So often the fun colors I use draw the eye of children, but I'm a believer that people never really have to grow old. The color and beauty of Maine is for all ages. On that note, I hope you enjoy checking out my page. Feel free to contact me with any comments or questions. I also take commissions.
