My cousin, Bradley commissioned me to paint this piece for his friend's wedding. He's going to be the best man and told me he needed something "huge." This is one of the bigger paintings I've done, the only one that might have been larger would be Color Girls. I like how it came out... because personally I think Tarpons are ugly, and I may or may not be a little afraid of them. Why? When I was twelve, I was snorkeling in the Crystal Springs in Florida when a school of about 5 came swimming at me out of nowhere. They were the biggest fish I had ever swam with..and they had big teeth. I don't think I've ever swam so fast to get away.
